Bio

Anniessa Antar is a software engineer, filmmaker, educator, and performance artist. Her pedagogy and creative practices center the power of sensory, playful and collective work to make liberation irresistible. She has worked with organizations such as Springboard for the Arts, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Mizna, Confluence: An East Lake Studio for Community Design, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, the School for Poetic Computation and Backwoodz Studioz. She currently teaches in the MFA program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
