Bio
Julia Franklin is an Iowa Artist Fellow and the Executive Director of Mainframe Studios, a nonprofit in Des Moines, Iowa, that provides affordable arts workspace and fosters creative communities. She’s lived many lives as an artist, mom, art professor, gallery director, grants manager, grant reviewer, art patron, and board member. She can’t separate art from her life and wouldn’t want to, and she looks forward to swimming and cuddling her two rescue dogs.
