Aliese Hoesel (she/her) is the Executive Assistant at Arts Midwest. She brings nearly a decade of executive administrative support experience to the role, and specializes in systems organization and management, research and data compilation, and workflow coordination.
Prior to joining the Arts Midwest team in June 2026, she served as Executive Assistant to the Artistic & Executive Director at Schubert Club, and was a Patient Care Coordinator at the Park Nicollet Women’s Center.
A trained classical singer and vocal pedagogue, Aliese has sung in the Coro of the Minnesota Opera, produced a number of benefit recitals for local civic causes, and has been the resident Soprano Section Leader and Youth Choral Director at Saint Johns Episcopal Church-Linden Hills since 2017. Aliese has maintained a private voice studio, off and on, since 2011.
At Arts Midwest, Aliese spends her day asking many, many questions, organizing schedules, arranging travel and various events for the Executive team, managing budgets, and is the primary liaison between the organization and their marvelous Board of Directors.
She attributes her success in this work to her dedication to clear communication, a genuine love of and appreciation for working with others, and lots of color-coded tables.
A little more about Aliese:
Her favorite office supplies are STICKY NOTES. ALL DAY. EVERY DAY. STICKY NOTES FOREVER.
Aliese’s favorite Midwestern artists are the musical geniuses that came out of Detroit, MI’s Motown history.
When she isn’t working, she can be found kissing her pup, Charlie, on the noogin’, watching and reading historical fiction with her partner, and taking blissful naps.
