Katie Ortman (she/her) has been working at Arts Midwest since 2020 and is a Program Manager. Before that, she worked in programming at the now-defunct Des Moines Social Club, a multidisciplinary performance and art education nonprofit. Additionally, she has worked as a producer for the Des Moines 48 Hour Film Project and as a grant writer for the Des Moines Art Center.
At Arts Midwest, Katie spends her days coordinating artist tours and working with community partners to present weeklong World Fest residencies around the Midwest. She does this by using skills in artist booking, tour logistics, and community development to unite artists and communities. She also works with the Communications Team to collaborate on artist videos and World Fest storytelling.
