Shakespeare in American Communities: Schools

FY2023

About

Redhouse’s school district partnerships serve over 3,000 students annually, using arts to address the opportunity gap that inherently exists within the urban population of CNY. Redhouse plans on engaging students in workshops and performances, also casting some alongside professional performers and actors from CNY’s differently-abled community. Midsummer Night’s Dream is the piece to do this kind of community work, since Midsummer is filled with fantasy and magic, love and imagination.
