About

We are working with Median Theater Collec4ve around Rohina Malik’s newest play, Layla in Lala. The play centers around a Pakistani American Muslim woman, Layla as she tries to make it as a TV writer in Los Angeles. As a part of this project, South Asia Institute will produce a performance of the play for two nights, a talkback session on one night with the Medina Theater Collec4ve on representa4on in the media and two workshops: one ac4ng workshop for high school-aged students and an intro to playwriting for anyone sixteen and up.
