TéMaTé Institute will work with T. Ayo Alson to create a series of talkbacks that consist of a lecture/demonstration and a discussion. The talkbacks will focus on the drum, specifically a family of Drums called dunduns, and the feminine perspective. T. Ayo is well known in the African dance community for passion for dance, drum, and their intersection, and for creating a space for women to learn and study percussion and rhythms.
