Alliance Française Mpls/St Paul (AFMSP)

Minneapolis, MN

GIG Fund

FY2024

About

In March 2024, AFMSP will host our annual series of French-speaking cultures from around the world, this time featuring the West African nation of Togo. We will work with members of our community from the Togolese diaspora including locally-based visual artist Sabine Medowokpo to host a month-long exhibition in our art gallery. During the series of events, we will facilitate an arts demonstration and meet-and-greet with the artist and elementary students from a French immersion elementary school such as L’Etoile du Nord in the St Paul public school district. As a public school, L’Etoile du Nord has many students from underserved backgrounds, including those from French-speaking immigrant families.
