GRAMMY and Guggenheim-winning composer Chuck Owen & ReSurgence will present 2 concerts and several education events in the DMPS district. GRAMMY & Pulitzer-winning vocal band Roomful of Teeth will present a concert and engage in a community based panel discussion. The Dallas Brass will present multiple interactive clinics & a concert in the West DSM District. In conjunction with Black History Month, GRAMMY-winning artists, The Blind Boys of Alabama, will perform in concert and present an oral history discussion for central Iowa students, churches, civil rights organizations, and community. All of the above education events are FREE, and most offer complimentary concert tickets to student participants. For those needing transportation assistance, DART offers free access to buses via our partnership.

Through partnerships with area community centers, schools, and libraries, Riverside will tour a trunk-show production of the preceding summer’s Free Shakespeare in Lower City Park, adapted to ninety minutes and coinciding with artist-led workshops for middle and high-school students.
