This project will specifically target college students and will include partnerships with nearby Albion College and Olivet College. This will include access to discounted tickets for all participating students to encourage access to attend and invitations to debut as debutantes during the performance. It will also include the opportunity for each student to meet, in person, the three queens, prior to the performance. We have been successful with this outreach strategy for two years. We saw between 30-50 students from these colleges in attendance. Because of this success, we need assistance in paying for the fees to our three queens, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Sutton Lee Seymour and Gabby Galore. In 2022, the workshop focused on the business of drag and also provided the students an ability to share their stories. This was an important opportunity for these students to discuss with a professional drag queen their life’s experience being part of the LBGTQ+ community.
