About

The G-E-T Performing Arts Center is bringing award winning Dust City Opera for a public performance and a series of educational workshops with our students. The project includes 3 activities. The first are educational workshops with our music students including Songwriting, Wind-players, Brass-players, Percussionist and Music Business 101 workshops. The second activity is a public performance in our theater. The third activity is a meet and greet after the performance. The G-E-T PAC reaches several underserved audiences. As a rural community in Wisconsin, the people we serve have limited access to the arts. This includes the older population. We’ve started a program with our local assisted living facility to bring them to performances. The event also impacts our youth through the educational workshops. Finally, if we can qualify for a grant, we will be able to decrease the cost of tickets and be able to provide free tickets to economically disadvantaged community members.
