Bio
Abdi Mohamed is a journalist and filmmaker based in the Twin Cities. His background is in documentary producing, screenwriting, and directing. He studied Communication and Media Studies at the University of Minnesota and is now a film instructor at Metro State University. Abdi’s work in journalism and film aims to highlight the lives of marginalized communities and provide their stories with a platform to counter the misrepresentative narratives that have stereotyped and alienated various communities.
