J. Coyden Palmer is a freelance journalist based in the Chicago area since 1999. Primarily focusing on news in Chicago’s Black neighborhoods, in 2021 he started his own news website www.jcoydenreports.com. The content covers community features, missing persons, investigative reports, his sports podcast “What’s Up Cuz?!” and a weekly blog. He is currently penning his first book: “Yeah, But What About Chicago?” that will focus on the city’s reputation for crime and the circumstances that make it possible.
