City: Atlanta

Collaborating with DeKalb Co. Public Library, GA Center for the Book, and a diverse network of community partners, 7 Stages will organize and promote a series of literary and artistic outreach events inspired by Charles Yu’s Interior Chinatown. An estimated 2,000 community members in metro Atlanta will participate in the shared reading and artistic response experience from 10/2024 - 5/2025.

The Atlanta Shakespeare Company will produce 60-minute small-cast performance of Romeo & Juliet (R&J:60) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Midsummer:60) to middle and high schools across the state of Georgia, focusing on schools that receive Title 1 funding and/or are in geographic locations that are considered "artistic deserts" with little-to-no direct access to the arts or live performance.
