    Marion Voices Folklife + Oral History

    Marion Voices Folklife + Oral History's ArtsHERE grant will support a solidarity-building listening tour across North-Central Ohio engaging allied arts & culture organizations to share strategies & grow a regional folklife network, plus updates to their strategic plan & website as they expand their work regionally. Marion Voices is a folklife & cultural arts organization committed to social justice. Partnering directly with community culture-keepers in Marion County, they offer K-12 folk arts programs, exhibits, festivals, folklife documentation, and more to grow more just, more abundant cultural arts livelihoods across diverse communities.

    The Wieting Theatre is proud to bring Larry Yazzie to perform and inspire residents of his hometown with two energizing performances that will teach rich cultural traditions thru song and dance.

  • Kanopy Dance

    Kanopy presents "Polaris+Revelations" starring Colombian born guest artist Daniel Fetecua Soto- former soloist with the Limón Dance Company who performs a theatrical masked dance, “Wolf: A Transformation”,choreographed by and gifted to him by Rosalie Jones, founder of the first indigenous modern dance company in the U.S. The show aims to meaningfully connect audiences with Native American culture.

  • Global Girls, Inc.

    In a time when “good enough” seems to be the norm, Global Girls trumpets the belief that originality blended with creative discipline is our superpower. Community members in Chicago’s southside and Kalamazoo’s northside will explore and participate in the creative process in workshops and performances led by and featuring internationally renown pianist and composer Miguel De La Cerna.
