  • Lorain Public Library System

    The Lorain Public Library System will partner with the Lorain Historical Society, Oberlin Public Library, Oberlin Heritage Center, Community Foundation of Lorain County, local schools, civic organizations, and businesses to offer diverse programming for audiences of all ages inspired by "Beloved" by Toni Morrison from Tuesday, September 3, 2024, through Monday, June 30, 2025.

  • Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc.

    Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc. (AGAR) will conduct an NEA Big Read, "Exploring 'Homegoing' in Amherst County, Virginia." Community embers will read historical novel "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyazi, who has been invited to speak virtually Mary Helen Cochran Library. the Big Read theme is "Where We Live." Using literature, dance and history, we will explore the lives of Amherst African- Americans.

  • Theatreworks Colorado Springs

    In the fall of 2024, Theatreworks will present The Henriad in morning performances for student audiences, accompanied by workshops, and educational forums exploring power, leadership, and national identity through the enduring power of Shakespeare's language. This project builds on engagement from Theatreworks' Free-For-All Shakespeare program and centers themes of power, status, and leadership.

  • Atlanta Shakespeare Company

    The Atlanta Shakespeare Company will produce 60-minute small-cast performance of Romeo & Juliet (R&J:60) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Midsummer:60) to middle and high schools across the state of Georgia, focusing on schools that receive Title 1 funding and/or are in geographic locations that are considered "artistic deserts" with little-to-no direct access to the arts or live performance.

  • Nashville Shakespeare Festival

    Nashville Shakespeare Festival will tour a 60-minute, five actor production of MACBETH to schools throughout Middle Tennessee during October and November 2024. Actors will be trained teaching artists who will also present pre- or post-performance workshops to students to enhance educational impact, and performances & workshops will be provided free to Title I schools.

    Barn Raiser will publish a series of articles highlighting the work of artists, photographers, community organizers, and artistic movements informing Midwestern creativity and social change. Stories will emphasize the cultural significance and contributions of BIPOC and Native communities, focusing on themes of food and the arts.
