Aepex Contemporary Performance

ÆPEX Contemporary Performance is applying to the Arts Midwest GIG Fund to support a collaboration with percussionist Cameron Leach, Cameron’s residency in southeast Michigan will feature two concerts, a video/audio recording session, and two community outreach activities over the first week of October 2021. Cameron’s outreach activities will include a family-oriented, general audience presentation with the Ann Arbor District Library. Cameron will also do a percussion performance-demonstration for the members of the Ypsilanti Youth Orchestra, an organization that works closely with underprivileged young people in Ypsilanti, MI. We will also provide free tickets to Cameron’s solo and ensemble performance to members of the Ypsilanti Youth Orchestra and their families. Cameron will also be available for audience mingling following the two concerts, and the solo and ensemble concert featuring the concerto world premiere will include a pre-concert audience Q&A with Cameron and Garrett.
