Applicant is planning three events around their artist. First a lecture discussing the history of Bluegrass, followed by an afternoon session which will be recorded and made available for schools and libraries. Finally there will be a concert in the evening. The event will be presented in two parts. Joe Mullins, a noted bluegrass music historian, will be presenting an afternoon lecture/visual presentation based on research from the Center for Appalachian Studies at Miami University (Oxford, OH). The afternoon session will be recorded and provided at no cost to school and public libraries, regional historical societies, and other civic organizations. This will be followed by an evening concert featuring JMRR. Both events are free and open to the public.
