Raphael Xavier is a self-taught hip-hop dancer and has practiced breaking since 1983. Dourdan is an actor who has appeared on CSI and in the film Alien Resurrection. The engagement will include 2 site-sensitive, outdoor, roaming performances in Cain Park, Cleveland Heights which will be offered free to the community; A free, 3-hour open call workshop/jam session with Xavier and Dourdan, which will function as both a masterclass and an audition; An additional 3-hour workshop with selected dancers, and a 3-hour on-site dress rehearsal; Panel discussion on the history of Hip Hop in Cleveland to include local dancers and Xavier.
