The proposed activity to develop a new work by Alex Barreto Hathaway, called Vikingos of Muchasnota. The play is a comedy about captured Latinx people trying (and mostly failing) to make it in the time and land of Vikings. This project will support a development workshop of the new play, that will culminate with two public virtual readings and talkbacks. In addition, Alex Barreto Hathaway will conduct workshops with students at two schools ? Central High School and St. Paul Conservatory for the Performing Artists (SPCPA), providing students with opportunities to explore the confluence of commedia del arte with Latinx street performance.
