We are planning to partner with Rick Rollenhagen, a Cleveland, Ohio based artist. His carving style is based on the assumption that stones are the Bones of the Mother Earth. The project consists of an 8-week hands-on art workshop series called “Making stuff out of rocks,”and a follow-up virtual discussion forum featuring Rick Rollenhagen. We designed the weekly workshop series to be informative and educational. Ten or more students will receive work tool and industry knowledge on this type of art form, from learning about the different kinds of rock to kinds of required tools to completing/exhibiting their finished art pieces.
