About

We seek funding for a cultural immersion and exchange involving Trinity Irish Dance Company and Native Expressions Drum and Dance troupe; two vastly different non-profit arts organizations that are both dedicated to advancing understanding and appreciation for their traditional cultures while promoting diversity and inclusiveness. Plans include approximately three days of performing, teaching, and learning from each other while Trinity Irish Dance Company is housed right on the Red Cliff Tribal Reservation. At the end of these three days of artistic collaboration, the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua stage will host the performances that result from this unique exchange. We are planning multiple activities featuring these two organizations. There will be a ticketed evening performance that will include two 45 minute sets with an intermission. Earlier that afternoon, there will be a condensed 1-hr version of the evening performance, perfect for the shorter attention spans of children and offered free to everyone who attends.
