The Composers Hub Professional Development program is an annual week-long intensive designed to provide extraordinary experiences to women composers in their growing careers. Six composers are selected to participate in this customized program. Composers are nurtured and supported through comprehensive offerings including instruction in music composition as well as fundamental business skills for artists rarely addressed in conservatories. Participants will receive mentorship from our 2024 Composer-in-Residence, Melinda Wagner. In addition, participants will gain a well-rounded approach to music business and concrete tools to build a viable career. The program culminates with a final concert and each participant receives a professional audio and 4-camera angle video recording of their piece. LunART’s Composers Hub program is geared towards composers with limited professional performances of their work and who have not been published yet and/or recorded professionally.

WisconsinAmerican Players Theatre is thrilled to present two Shakespearean plays for our 2024 Fall Student Matinee Series: "King Lear" and "Much Ado About Nothing." We anticipate having seven or eight performances, featuring diverse casts and artistic teams, and offering accompanying in-class workshops to more than 6,000 area students and educators.

Creative Midwest Media Cohort

WisconsinDovetail will create a print publication with stories about Midwest-based artists contributed by Midwestern writers. The publication will cover a range of visual art and diverse perspectives from artists and writers in rural or semi-rural areas. Dovetail will feature creatives who explore themes of immigration or displacement, and/or facilitate creative opportunities in their communities.
