The Ark Band, a St. Lucian reggae band, will perform on August 12 as part of the Music in the Park summer festival in Marquette Park in the heart of downtown Mackinac Island. The Ark Band will be present at an afterglow event at Kingston Kitchen, a local Jamaican restaurant owned and operated by one of Mackinac Island’s permanent Jamaican residents, Chef Shawn Fearon. During the afterglow, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the band, ask questions, and learn more about reggae music.
