This project will center “Romeo and Juliet” with a mainstage production featuring a diverse professional cast. The grant will fund free and subsidized tickets, transportation (rented busses) and pre- and post-show classroom visits mainly to schools serving large numbers of low-income families. In the event we are unable to provide public performances, we will share a recorded version of the play performed by diverse professional actors, with a menu of pedagogical resources for teachers.
