MCC choristers will learn about and sing music by women composers for their performance Moxie: A Composition of Women Composers. To further foster youths’ exposure to women composers, the MCC will hire BIPOC composer Alysia Lee to commission a choral piece for youth to premiere at the performance. Additionally, Ms. Lee will highlight the skill of these female composers and the call for their recognition in today?s musical landscape during a workshop with MCC singers. Further, she will create a pre-recorded message to share with our audience during the concert.
