We will be presenting the premiere of new work from resident artist Open Flame Theatre, an all queer/transgender theatre ensemble that creates original, multi-disciplinary performances rooted in the queer/Trans experience. They will be debuting their most recent work, “The Garden,” an original queer, surrealist opera conceived by Walken Schweigert and created by Open Flame Theatre, about rewilding and the roots of internalized transphobia. We will host 6 outdoor performances of “The Garden” over the course of two weekends. Each performance will be followed by a reception and talkback.
