TSC will provide 40 program sessions for incarcerated youth ages 13-17 held at Memphis Jail East as they await trial for serious crimes, and 40 sessions for incarcerated youth aged 18 who are transferred to the Shelby County Criminal Complex Jail when they age out of Jail East. In two 90-minute sessions per week with each group, we encourage literacy, self-discovery, communication, and empathy through the exploration and performance of speeches and scenes from Shakespeare for 125 participants.
