The Colorado Shakespeare Festival will share a 45-minute “The Merchant of Venice,” in person, with schools across Colorado, as part of a series that highlights patterns of violence, bullying, and mistreatment in Shakespeare. Post-show workshops are informed by research around violence prevention strategies, and are based in theatre exercises that build students’ empathy, interpersonal skills, and ability to work as a team–all key components of healthy relationships and safe communities.
