Winter Writers in Residence will support literary artist Meadow Jones to facilitate a healing writing workshop series, chapbook creation, and public performance with township participants in the accessible space of the UCIMC. The goal is to provide an intimate, supported space for residents who have experienced violence, homelessness, or disability to gather and pursue healing through writing, publishing and sharing publicly. Workshops will take place during the winter months, and include a meal and opportunities to write together as well as access individual writing coaching with Dr. Jones. The group will create a chapbook and host a public performance in the Spring of 2024. Winter Writers in Residence is a collaboration between:
UCIMC, a community media and arts center.
Meadow Jones PhD, literary artist and trauma expert who hosts transformative workshop series. www.meadowjones.com
Cunningham Township, a public office providing housing, food, & income assistance with case management.
