Invitees include: Quarteto México, Harpist Marco Pat, Designer Miguel Loeza, and Photographer Pedro Tec along with the student folkloric Ballet ensemble from the Universidad Intercultural Maya. Presentations in the Monroe County Community Schools will focus on title 1 schools with large English as a second language, and minority populations for diversified impact. Engagements held in the Monroe County public library, the Arts Alliance Center, Boys & Girls Club, and the College Mall offer nontraditional venues. An invitation for local high school designers to showcase their work during the Maya fashion week, seeks to foster youth participation. Maya invited artists will engage with the citizens of Monroe County at the La Casa Latino Center in a series of discussions and public panels. While the Arts Alliance Center Gallery will offer the photography of Pedro Tec as well as a textile display from designer Miguel Loeza for the duration of the festival.
