Shakesprov is a series of weekly workshops in which Shakespeare’s plays serve as catalysts from which incarcerated youth explore universal themes through theatre exercises, Improv, and storytelling. Led by 2 teaching artists, this engaging format enables the youth to discover, discuss and relate to themes in Shakespeare’s plays in order to reflect on their lives and experiences and learn how to tell their own stories. Participants develop confidence, public speaking and inter-personal skills.
