    ArtForce Iowa

    ArtForce Iowa’s ArtsHERE grant will support strengthening internal structures, integrating technology into programming, and fostering new partnerships with schools, youth service agencies, cultural institutions, and more. ArtForce Iowa creates opportunities for youth to transform through art, promoting personal and social development. They serve young people living in detention centers and offer free arts programming for refugee and immigrant youth.

    Azubuike Arts

    Azubuike African American Council’s ArtsHERE grant will help bridge the gap in arts and cultural engagement in the Quad Cities through strategic planning, cultural competency training, and marketing to underserved youth of color.  Azubuike provides inspirational and educational opportunities through the arts, aiming to reconcile the racial divides that exist in their community by giving underserved youth a voice to express themselves

  • Windsor Theatre Development Corporation

    The Franklin County Arts Council, a committee of the Windsor Theatre Development Corporation, will collaborate with Ballet Des Moines & Hampton-Dumont Community Schools to present portions of the ballet "Movimiento" featuring music of Colombian composer Juan Sebastian Ramirez Espinosa, Brazilian choreographer Mariana Oliviera & Katlyn Addison. Ballet Des Moines will also do local school outreach.

    The Wieting Theatre is proud to bring Larry Yazzie to perform and inspire residents of his hometown with two energizing performances that will teach rich cultural traditions thru song and dance.

  • Supporters of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center

    Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Rocky Peter brings his inspiring story and beautiful musicianship to Fairfield Arts & Convention Center and the rural community of Jefferson County, IA.

  • Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra

    The project is SEISO’s Artist in Residence, who will spend two weeks teaching and performing in schools and give presentations and recitals in communities in Southeast Iowa. The Artist will also perform as soloist on our Masterworks Series 3 concerts.

  • Red Cedar Chamber Music

    Red Cedar Chamber Music will bring an innovative quartet of violin, cello, double bass, and electric guitar to Johnson STEAM Academy. The lesson plans, enhanced with videos and slides, will focus on the history of jazz as a creation of black Americans and its continued impact on our musical culture. A free public concert will also be presented at the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

    Eastern Iowa Arts Academy

    People with disabilities will have the opportunity to attend multiple sessions of songwriting and recording workshops at TalkBack Studios, gaining studio experience alongside professional, performing artist Evan Stock. Also, participants will have the opportunity to perform their creative ballads for the community on stage, alongside the Evan Stock Band.

  • Civic Music Association (CMA)

    CMA seeks to provide access to a music education series featuring our world renowned artists. Activities include; high-impact student enrichment concerts, professional performance collaborations, as well as workshops and clinics. Priority for these events is given to traditionally underserved communities and school districts throughout greater Des Moines and central Iowa.
