Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA)
MOCA will curate a series of programming including book and panel discussions, immersive performances, creative writing workshops, and a special exhibition on “Interior Chinatown” by Charles Yu. This series will engage local artists and community organizations, connecting past and present through dialogues and personal histories on themes of living in Chinatowns and the immigrant experience.

Newburgh Enlarged City School District
Presented by the Newburgh Enlarged City School District in partnership with the Newburgh Free Library and the City of Newburgh, NEA Big Read: Newburgh will explore "Where We Live" through poetry and the featured reading of Hustle by David Tomas Martinez. With a focus on the rich history of our community programming will inspire meaningful conversations and celebrate local creativity and voices.

Just Buffalo Literary Center will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros with a diverse array of reading and writing workshops that increase representation and celebrate the depth of Hispanic and Latino culture in Buffalo and Erie County today.

New York Irish Center
New York Irish Center will partner with 10 organizations, including Hunter's Point Library, to explore Jhumpa Lahiri’s “The Namesake.” Activities include 19 events; 18 presenters, musicians, writers, and other talent (3 at more than 1 event); and distribution of 690 books. From Sept. 2024 - June 2025. Includes five national podcasts, and recording and uploading select events on social media.

¡Oye! Group
Shake on the Block at Brentwood Residential Center provides Shakespeare workshops to teenagers (13-17) who have been placed into the U.S. prison system. Students adapt original Shakespeare text into a performance featuring a blend of street slang and modern English. Guest artists provide workshops on their field of expertise to help students craft their unique vision.

Drama Club
Drama Club will bring Shakespeare's text to life in ELA classes in 2 District 79 schools for adjudicated youth in NYC. Students will explore the language and themes of Hamlet, Macbeth, The Tempest, or Julius Caesar through improvisation as they build a culminating performance demonstrating their grasp of the material and its relevance to their lives.

Theatre for a New Audience
In Theatre for a New Audience’s (TFANA) World Theatre Project arts education residency, students engage in an in-depth study of a Shakespeare play and attend student matinee performances of TFANA’s professional production. The program will serve approximately 1,100 students and teachers in grades 5 to 12 in 10 underserved New York City Public Schools.

The Neo-Political Cowgirls
The Neo-Political Cowgirls will create a new work consisting of a series of female characters from Shakespeare's canon, thread them into a collection exploring the archetypal maidens/mothers/crones with Shakespearean text, dance, and world music. Women's representation, voices and ambition in Shakespeare's plays will be shared in local schools and with general audiences in dynamic form.

The Acting Company
The Acting Company will tour, Christina Anderson’s Play On Shakespeare “translation” of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. We will bring the show, workshops, in-school residencies, and pre- and post-show discussions to school communities including West Palm Beach, FL; Iowa City, IA; Asheville, NC; Jicarilla and Albuquerque, NM; Stony Brook, NY; Fairfax, VA; St. Johnsbury, VT; and Charleston, SC.

Catskill Mountain Shakespeare
Catskill Mountain Shakespeare presents a traveling school tour of “Romeo and Juliet” in Spring 2025 throughout the Catskill mountains of NY state. Study guides, talkbacks and post performance workshops will be offered by CMS Teaching Artists.
