    First Peoples Fund

    The First Peoples Fund's (FPF) ArtsHERE grant will support programmatic assessments, the creation of data collection tools, and the evaluation of new and expanded programs at FPF and the Oglala Lakota Artspace on Pine Ridge Reservation. First People's Fund honors and supports the cultural, artistic, and ancestral practices of Native artists, families, and communities, helping them to thrive, heal, and carry forward Indigenous creative expression, teachings, and lifeways.

    Cheyenne River Youth Project

    The Cheyenne River Youth Project’s ArtsHERE grant will support assessment, planning, and capacity building as the grassroots nonprofit organization prepares to construct and open the first facility dedicated solely to arts and culture on the Cheyenne River Reservation. The Cheyenne River Youth Project offers Lakota youth and families access to the culturally relevant, enriching, and enduring opportunities they need to build stronger, healthier communities and a more vibrant future.

  • The Matthews Opera House and Arts Center (MOHAC)

    MOHAC will bring local artists to a residential youth psychiatric facility, providing activities designed to foster creativity, self-expression, and emotional healing for at-risk youth. This initiative will enhance the therapeutic environment, promote mental well-being, and offer a constructive outlet for the residents. A public art exhibit in the Matthews gallery will showcase some of their work.

  • The Premiere Playhouse

    The Premiere Premieres Program offers a year long collaborative process that brings locally-written new one-act plays to life on stage. Writers (age 14 and older) have the rare opportunity to identify, develop and share their ideas by attending free playwriting courses, and submitting a One-Act Play for production consideration. This allows open expressive personal and cultural storytelling.

    Sponsor an artist to perform at Mitchell's 401 Create by LifeQuest and the Corn Palace Plaza for the Mitchell Area Inclusion Coalition’s Community Access Resource Expo.

    Lakota Youth Development

    Lakota Youth Development plans a transformative storytelling workshop, for youth and adults to preserve our rich Lakota cultural heritage. Guided by Lakota Authors and storytellers, participants immerse themselves in profound narratives that define our identity. Together, we ensure that the timeless wisdom, values, and traditions of our ancestors continue to shape and inspire future generations

  • Aberdeen Area Arts Council

    The Aberdeen Arts Council will feature The Queen's Cartoonist for two concerts in one day. The day concert will be an outreach, educational show free to local schools, nursing home residents, special needs agency clients, and disadvantaged youth from local programs. The evening performance will be a ticketed event open to the public and outreach attendees for the evening.
