Katie Ortman (she/her) has been working at Arts Midwest since 2020 and is a Program Manager. Before that, she worked in programming at the now-defunct Des Moines Social Club, a multidisciplinary performance and art education nonprofit. Additionally, she has worked as a producer for the Des Moines 48 Hour Film Project and as a grant writer for the Des Moines Art Center.
At Arts Midwest, Katie currently oversees the GIG Fund and the Ideas Hub. She spends her days working with the grants, programs, and communications teams on supporting grantees, developing new programs, and creating resources for creative Midwesterners. She used to oversee the now sunsetted World Fest program.
