Columbus Area Arts Council

Columbus, IN

GIG Fund

FY2024

About

In June 2024, the Columbus Area Arts Council will host a series of arts programs at 411 Gallery in celebration of Juneteenth. These programs will be curated and creative-directed by One Drop, a collective “founded by artists of color, for artists of color, to be experienced by all.” The Art Exhibition, Artist Talkback, and the opening reception street party will include elements of youth engagement and focus on celebrating the creative perspectives of artists of color. Through existing and new partnerships, this monthlong celebration aims to make lasting connections across communities and inspire a deeper understanding of commonalities in art, culture, community, and individualism.
