Under the Beams will continue its 24th season of “Bringing the World to our Stage,” presenting concerts and taking musicians out to schools to enrich the lives of students in southern Indiana and southern Illinois regions. It has been a priority to always include a classical performance, as part of of an eclectic musical mix each 4-concert season; our past musicians have represented 32 countries to date. Our musicians engage with audiences in our 350 seat hall to tell of their musical journeys and influences; they attend a ‘meet & greet’ following the show to engage and experience the warmth of the midwest up close; and when possible, they add educational school programs tailored to what the artist offers and what programs schools feel will most benefit their students. We are asking for assistance with artist fees and their travel fees for adding two school programs – one to our January Van Cliburn pianist and one to our April MoKoomba (Zimbabwe) concerts to be taken to the schools.
