About

Buffalo’s Fire is the independent news platform run by the Indigenous Media Freedom Alliance, a Native-led, Native-woman founded non-profit. Their focus is to raise the visibility of Native peoples through storytelling that reflects the beauty of Indigenous language, arts, culture. The Indigenous Media Freedom Alliance improves the civil liberties of Indigenous people through research, advocacy, and nation building by employing the core values of integrity, inclusivity and transparency.

As part of the Creative Midwest Media Cohort, Buffalo’s Fire will produce feature articles and a companion podcast that highlight Native American dentalium artists and their work.
