As a dynamic arts initiative, Fringe on Wheels, aims to bring captivating and educational experiences to communities by employing its wide network of artists. Through our programming of a combination of performances, panel discussions, demonstrations, meet-and-greets, workshops, and masterclasses, Fringe on Wheels will travel to schools, libraries, and parks throughout Indianapolis in an effort to bring more cultural value to our communities. Most notably, Fringe on Wheels will seek out and connect with underserved audiences. For example, Fringe on Wheels would partner with a local school to host a short artist residency. The artists would work with students on projects such as playwriting, acting, and tech operations, culminating in a performance or exhibition open to the public. Support from the GIG Fund will allow us to pay the artists on stage and will directly impact underserved communities. Activities will include multiple performances and open to the general public (in-person).
