By blending Native American and rural influences, participants will gain insights into different cultures and develop essential teamwork skills. Children will learn how to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and collaborate to bring their artistic vision to life. This phase emphasizes the importance of listening to diverse perspectives and working cohesively as a group. They will experiment with different techniques, colors, and materials, allowing them to fully express their creativity while honoring the cultural elements they’ve learned about. At the end of the workshop the children will host a reception, unveiling their new exhibition. The show will be open to the public. Scholarships will be given to Native American and low-income families. The second workshop will include a mural in downtown Devils Lake emphasizing the same teamwork and fusion of Native American and rural influences.
