  • Campanile Center for the Arts

    The Campanile will present "The Soul of Langston," written and performed by Daron Stewart in March of 2025. The project will include outreach to the local high school and to the middle school on the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, culminating with a public performance.

    Black Arts MKE’s Black Nativity celebrates the timeless work of Langston Hughes story of the Nativity retold through a combination of poetry, dance & song from an African American perspective, with a twist of being set in MKE & highlighting culturally relevant issues. Project includes: Community Night w/tickets 50% off, cast/crew talkbacks, FREE student matinees w/resources, ASL performance& more.

  • Ashland Chamber Music Society (Acms)

    The Ashland Chamber Music Society is an all-volunteer organization that brings six diverse chamber music performances to communities in rural Wisconsin every year. This grant will help fund an evening concert and an educational program for middle and high school students, performed by the Wisconsin Brass Quintet, from the Mead-Witter School of Music, UW-Madison.

    Awards Celebration on May 17, 2025. The CREATIVE POWER Awards Celebration will highlight Wisconsin artists with disabilities through performances in violin, dance, and song, amplifying and affirming the creative voices of diverse artists from around the state.

    Carly "Car" Riegger is one of nine winners of the 2024 Midwest Award for Artists with Disabilities. This award is designed to support accessibility in the arts and celebrate the exceptional work of disabled Midwestern visual artists.

  • Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts

    Inspired by Yang's The Latehomecomer to think about place both literally and metaphorically, we will provide a robust program including book discussions, writing prompts, public events, a writing retreat, and an open anthology call. The framework for thinking about place and identity holistically builds on Yang’s memoir’s structure, and the ways our place’s geology and topography affects ethology.

    Black Arts MKE

    Black Arts MKE will celebrate the genius of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” to engage & empower youth by leveraging the characters who are challenging the status quo to inspire self-discovery, critical thinking & personal growth. Free student matinees & engaging activities (reflection journals, character monologues, etc)will empower youth to find their own voices via self-expression will be offered.

    American Players Theatre is thrilled to present two Shakespearean plays for our 2024 Fall Student Matinee Series: "King Lear" and "Much Ado About Nothing." We anticipate having seven or eight performances, featuring diverse casts and artistic teams, and offering accompanying in-class workshops to more than 6,000 area students and educators.

    Dovetail will create a print publication with stories about Midwest-based artists contributed by Midwestern writers. The publication will cover a range of visual art and diverse perspectives from artists and writers in rural or semi-rural areas. Dovetail will feature creatives who explore themes of immigration or displacement, and/or facilitate creative opportunities in their communities.
